A Doppelganger is the double of a living person. The word Doppelganger is actully a German word meaning double goer. Doppelgangers are sometimes portrayed as a harbinger of bad luck. In some traditions a person's relative or friend that sees a dopelganger portends illness or danger and is said to be an omen of death.
